Sperm counts actually do change dramatically from month to month, and most of the time we don’t know why.

You can ask your reproductive endocrinologist if there are significant white blood cells—this can be associated with a subclinical prostate infection, easily treated with antibiotics and can account for sudden drops.

More commonly, however, we assess “sperm quality” through not just one test, but multiple tests. You may want to have a longer discussion with your RE about whether male factor subfertility is an issue.

    Hi I’m 35 years old, 2 years ago my sperm count was 80ml & now it is null. I don’t know the reason for sudden fall. Physical mentally I’m healthy. Dr. Suggesting me to go through semen analysis, DNA fragmentation & ASA
